Cuckoo Cuculus canorus
I’m in Donegal for a week and the highlight for me is that there is a cuckoo clock for my parents in the countryside was, and even as I write this I can hear it. It was not simple to photograph, and I followed his claims all over the place. From the shores of Lake Fern, where a lot of singing warbler, the board at the top of the hill on the farm. It was on a few occasions flew directly overhead and on both occasions when I was in the garden. After the first day we chose to wake up in the third 20am in the morning and sang endlessly for an hour, this was in the trees right outside our back door. Even I have recorded in my bed and the window closes. You can get heard. On the second day after was always the one shot, I chose to go see if I can add to my list of Grumble years, thus contributing Glenveagh head to a place I’ve seen. When I left the car were removed and reeling Grasshopper warblers in a period of 500 yards from me I’ve heard three different people, but no comments. Then I heard a cuckoo in some pines on my left, and finally found him sitting on top of a small pine tree surrounded by meadow pipit. Then they flew at low altitude in front of me and I have these two shots. I then along the line and flushed Grumble in fifty feet, where I saw last year and the year before. A gap has been the last time before he could concentrate on them. When I came the cuckoo flew past me and I have my favorite. So a couple of days pretty excellent. I have only one previous release of a cuckoo in Killard and it is pretty hard to find, much less take photos, so in two birds in two days, was a real benefit.
